Author Biography
Marie Rørvik, born in 1950, is a retired teacher with further education in drama, art therapy, and mental health work. Studies and teaching in the tradition of Marshall B. Rosenberg's nonviolent communication have given her retirement deep meaning and exciting experiences.
She has taught Afghan refugees in Norway and healthcare workers in Uganda, allowing her to experience the common humanity regardless of cultural background.
Her quest to understand different cultures led to reading the Quran. She realized that Islam is a significant factor of conflict in our time. Although it involves negative labeling to address this issue, she incorporates the theme into both of her published books.
