Author Biography
Michael Cross is the pen name of Norwegian author Gunnar Berge, an engineer and business owner from Herøy on Norway’s west coast.
Berge began writing fiction in 2004 and made his literary debut in 2019 with the thriller Where Truth Dies (Der sannheten dør), the first novel about former Secret Service agent and Navy SEAL John Brodie. The sequel, Night Flight to Freedom(Nattflukt til frihet), was published in 2022.
His professional background as an engineer and his extensive travels have contributed to the technical detail and international settings of his novels. He has a particular interest in military technology, aviation, intelligence operations and American culture.
Writing as Michael Cross, he creates action-driven thrillers in which individuals become entangled in international conspiracies, covert operations and conflicts involving powerful political and military interests. Delta Shadow moves the action to the islands and coastal communities of Sunnmøre, where a secret aircraft crash threatens to ignite an international crisis.
